I Caught Vivitar!

Before you start saying "WTF Miso-Happy?!" to my new digital camera... let me clarify... it is a USED digital camera from eBay, but new to me of course. Anyway... I won this Vivitar ViviCam 4100 as a Best Offer (total cost ended up being $13.37) so, yes me and the seller haggled the price like crazy but... it was actually really fun, haha.
My new... err, used cheap 4MP cam ;P
First off, I totally did not need this camera and some of you may already know I have a pretty sweet camera already but... I wanted a change and while this wasn't exactly what I had in mind (AT ALL!) I wanted to see why this is currently the best ranked Vivitar cam via Flickr.

Now before you start saying things like "meh, get outta here with your 4 MegaPixel USED cam", I really think you should checkout these photos by Gussie_j, herb36, and auroral tempest who all used this camera to take really nice looking pictures. Another thing you should know... the number 1 ranked camera (probably due to its ease of phone/cam use) on Flickr is... the iPhone 4 which, only has 5 MP (so, think about that!).

Who knows, maybe I'll give this cam a makeover, or perhaps something similar to this ;D

Simply Basic Ikat Nail Tutorial

Among being sick this week I was a bit lazy on doing my nails as I decided to reach into my purse and pull out the same red polish which I had used on my nails previously. So, without removing my polish I began to paint over my nails (hence the subtle two toned red appearance below) and create this adorable and pretty basic looking ikat nail design. I actually really love this look and I hope you enjoy it too :)

Step 1: Base Coat: Nailtiques Formula 2 (1 coat).

Step 2: Second Coat: 10 Professional Nail Lacquer, in And The Winner Is... /427 (2 coats).

Step 3: Striped Ikat Design: It's So Easy Stripe Rite, in White (you're going to make a rough diamond shape on the nail by keeping the line strokes going vertically, ultimately the lines should touch together as you continue making the uneven lengthened lines, see my guidelines below for additional help).

Step 4: Top Coat: OutTheDoor in Clear (1-2 coats).

Makeup MatchUp

Upon purchasing a new liquid foundation this week since I had ran out of my fave stuff (Maybelline 24hr Stay in Sand Beige) and the store hadn’t stocked up on any I ended up purchasing CoverGirl, TruBlend Liquid Makeup, in Warm Beige 4/445. The foundation definitely wasn’t a dupe for my fave stuff as it was a bit brighter/lighter and more on the pink side. Thus, I decided to make the best of it and experiment with colors that I felt went best with this CG foundation color. Sooo… if you’re perhaps a warm beige skin tone or use this same foundation shade then maybe these other makeup items I picked out will work for you to re-create the below look (sorry it looks overly pink, cell cam and lighting were a bit yuckster).
