SoyMilk vs Acne

Walking down the isles of Super Wal-Mart one night I came across cartons of...SoyMilk, sounded disgusting to say the least. The thought of not picking up a jug of my regular 2%...seemed insane since I'm the biggest milk-a-holic I know, heh. Thinking that perhaps it may not be sooo terribly disgusting and perhaps a healthy option I tossed a carton of chocolate SoyMilk into my cart.I put it into the fridge and the next morning decided to pour a little bit of the odd soy concoction into my cup. If you've ever tried a can of SlimFast before...this tasted similar but more on the watery side, so it wasn't too terrible(not sure I'd ever attempt the plain version). I actually found this to be pretty filling for an hour or so, not bad since I hardly drank a cup of it at a time. I also feel it helped some of my stubborn chin acne diminish, even during an "Aunt Flow" visit, LOL TMI.

3 Weeks Down

Its been 3 weeks into the new year now and this week I spent a sh*t load of money on my trip and for my trip, gahhhh...I can't be spending anymore this month for realz. Anywhooo...I was disappointed I didn't find anything I wanted at RW this past week :( although I did find this Merona dress at Target that looked cute on and perhaps could work as a not-so-average beach cover-up, I'd prolly wear some fitted knee-length jean capri's under it ;PI also bought these Dustin Dollin styled Vans for my trip, I think ya'll know by now I'm kind of a longboard chick(example, or this) ;P I'm hoping I'm a mens size 8...I really was thinking I was a 7.5 in mens but guess I'll find out when my kicks arrive. I know Ching-Chong will totally be hating and sayin' sh*t like "did you really need new shoes?!", ahah...and no I guess maybe I didn't since I can't wear these around DC till it gets warmer(currently rockin' my big a** snow boots, bleh). I still gotta dig out my flip-flops...maybe I should've bought those Cher ones from EBay, grr. Those of you that don't know, Max Factor is apparently going outta biz this month in the US. So I finally got around to purchasing some 2000 calorie waterproof mascara(yes I do loath waterproof mascara) because I'll be near A LOT of water during my trip and my must have makeup item is ALWAYS mascara and then foundation right after ;P Since most foundation doesn't withstand water I've also been working on achieving a faux tan, I even ordered sum new stuff this week and I hope to make time to create a sunless tanner review in the near future.

My Relationship Advice

I get asked a lot of things about dating relationships and such, so I'm going to give you my advice and its advice that you can apply to almost any situation your basically having. I keep it real and I'm going to give it to you straight and this is what I feel is the best advice I can give and honestly its never really steered me wrong.

Always trust your instincts!
If you find yourself thinking...

"Is he/she cheating on me?"
"will he/she ever love/like me?"
"does he/she really care about me?"
"could things be better?"
... and the list goes on.

First off all ask yourself why you're having to ask these questions...the answer is because you aren't sure but your instincts are obviously telling you that something feels off, to the point you're questioning your relationship. You could just ask the person but the answer is clear if you just trust instincts and heed your own advice.

If you have to ask if someone likes/loves you, then they probably don't and if they do they might not be expressing things the way you would interpret like/love emotions and having mixed signals is a sign of bad communication which is a pretty big factor for any healthy relationship, especially when just starting out.

If your the type that thinks every person is going to cheat on me, then perhaps your just dating the wrong people. Although their is nothing wrong with being single, sometimes we feel programmed to get married, have kids, live in a mansion and all by age 30, but reality is it doesn't always happen that way. What works for one person may not work for you, never compare yourself to others and remember that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Flirt

I'm pretty sure some flirting has been going on at work this week... too bad these guys are still married, ahah. Or perhaps those are the best guys to flirt with in order to avoid rumors ;P
-----<---<@
Guy: Is it okay if I open this door? I don't want you to freeze.
Me: Yea that's fine... you can keep me warm!
Guy: Heyyyy, I might just take you up on that offer!
-----<---<@
Guy: I need a mans vacation...
Me: Aww...that means I CAN'T go!
Guy: No! That means you CAN go!

So flirting aside I'm keeping pretty busy my days off... Saturday afternoon I'll be shopping at Rugged Warehouse(I know its weird for me to be excited over this place but I'm super stoked about going, LOL). Then I'll be eatting at this Chinese/Sushi buffet place with my...woman date my mom has hooked me up with, AHAHAAAA...that sounds soooo lesbo right?! Its basically my moms friends' daughter...I guess her daughter doesn't want to hangout with an older crowd so...that's where I come in?. Then I'll probably party it up to crappy old skool music that is played by a terrible DJ, down a Corona, watch old men make passes at me and leave the bar solo cuz...that's how I likez it, hah. Ching-Chong will be coming to mi casa Sunday so we can complete our vay-k plans, money money moneyyyy...then we're going to gamble and try to win sum money after spendin' few G's on this trip, gahhh >.< Then Monday I setup a car appointment for Made in Japan to get an oil change and hopefully they can fix my broken console at the dealership, hoping my warranty covers it. Later on I might meetup with a friend, I think she wants to have dinner and invite this dude that sings like a girl on karaoke night...eh...I might just bail on the whole ordeal and get some rest for work instead :P

I also gave my comp a windows upgrade this week and I'm super shocked MS Paint is becoming more advanced! Here's a quick doodle I did using the new features...Pretty lovely right?? That was a joke, heh...but it is kinda cool considering this is MS Paint we're talking about.

Week 2 into 2010

I've started trying to plan a vacation but...I'm not going to divulge too much where about at this point although I'm aiming more toward a February departure, perhaps taking a week off from work. As for who may be joining me, probably my long time friend and x-bf "Ching-Chong" as I call him, haha.

FYI to all you RedBox renters out there, hope you enjoyed your free DVD rental promo code (for those of you following me on Twitter). Also if you get a RedBox message which basically states "unable to accept DVD because machine is full" all you need to do is rent another DVD from that machine and then return your other DVD right after, voila. Another cool little secret I've discovered about RedBox is, if you pick-up a DVD after 12am, you basically got the DVD that entire day up till 9pm the next day for the same $1 cost (45hr rental basically).

Apparently I also have a love interest from YouTube, ahaha...Little things like that always make my day, lol.

I did get my photos uploaded to my comp this week but I've been sooo into posting in Guppy-Guide and R-T that I really didn't get around to posting anything here :P For those of you that were interested in more of my blogs on here...now ya got another, haha.

As for weight loss...well I lost about 180 when I dropped Mr. Sweety this week, told him I needed some time away from him (needed some "R-E-S-P-E-C-T, just a lil bit") and I guess he took that as..."we're never hanging out again then". Well whatever floats his boat, I'm trying not to stress over the drama he constantly dishes out on the regular. So seriously for weight loss I just started getting my a** in gear again yesterday taking off that 3 pounds AGAIN this month, ugh. Trying to lose some weight before my vay-k next month in which I'll probably stuff myself silly and gain it all back again, hah.

Week 1 into 2010

It has officially been one week into the new year and one of my resolutions was to get my cam pics uploaded once a week but...slight snag as my cam wasn't exactly uploading my photos and I haven't had time to fidget around with it yet. Not to mention as I placed the Paper Heart DVD into my laptop this week it didn't wanna catch...so after a slight cleaning it finally decided to work...arghhh comp probs.

As for other news I've been looking into finally going to College in spring this year, I wanna get this done by age 30. My job filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy this week and I have been there before when I worked for Flyi, nothin' new for the airline industry. Apparently if I don't lose my job I may end up having to leave my job just to go to school full time, so perhaps it won't affect me too significantly.

As for my diet goal of 20lb this month...ugh...I'm struggling, exhausted, depressed at times. I think I lost 3lb this week and I still haven't put much effort into exercising. Why doesn't someone smack me and tell me to get my a** in gear and stop pissing around. I'm totally losing motivation and I must try harder to get this done...even if this is a long month I still have 17 more pounds to knock off before it ends. I mostly want to accomplish this not just for myself but everyone that's doubting me out their...including myself at times, lol. So far I've managed to speed up my metabolism by eating more often and having smaller portions, so now I find myself getting hungry...a lot(gotta keep those healthy snacks on hand!).

As for other things to expect in the coming week/s, I've been working on a few product reviews, probably got some nail pics to share...been working on my other blogs (would you believe I have 12 on Blogger alone?! LOL).

As for what I overheard from the airline company working next door to me this week...

GUY 1: I need a seat belt extender for this airplane out here.
GUY 2: Okay, well I have one in gray and one in black. Which one do you want?
GUY 1: At this point I don’t think the fat guy without a seat belt is worried about that.

Maybe ya just had to be their XP

I Spy Polka Dots *Updated*

No clue why I keep posting about polka dots lately (second time now I believe) but while out shopping with Mr. Sweety at Target we both seemed to have some odd attraction to 'em or something, we kept trying to spot all the polka dots we found in the store that day.

I confessed my undying love for home goods to Mr. Sweety this week and how it reminded me of when I moved out of my parents home several years ago to start a new chapter in life. To my surprise Mr. Sweety told me he liked the home good isle too (even spotting this lamp base he seemed to like) and how he longed for a place of his own now as well. I was excited to hear him say that because we have a new found common interest ^.^ I almost didn't believe he was being serious, lol.

So several days later and I'm still thinking about these polka dot pillowcases we came across...I think I'm going to go back and grab 'em, haha. Perhaps buying them for the sheer attraction we oddly had for them, the joy of discovering that Mr. Sweety and I have a decor love and in hopes it will somehow bring more happiness each day as I rest on these polka dot pillowcases throughout the new year (no matter how silly it may seem to others, lol).

~*~*~2 Days Later~*~*~

*Above is a photo of my new satin black and white polka dot pillowcases which come in standard size, one pillowcase is $4.99 at Target. The polka dot item at the bottom right of the photo is my new clutch which is just like the Valentino one from my previous post, found on EBay recently and won for $27.50.

Cheers to all the things that bring us joy in life! Even if it comes in the form of polka dots :D haha.

Healthier Lifestyle

Now that I'm back on the diet train I started looking for new things to cook because honestly I don't cook nearly enough(fast foodie no mas!) and I do actually enjoy it because for me it's also a learning experience to cooking perfection.

During my search I found some new recipes on SimplyRecipes.com where I cooked "WaxBeans with Mint" and "Asparagus Frittata" although I used waxbeans again...mine didn't come out very good, bleh. Seeing as how my "Frittata" came out so...not good...I searched YouTube for some help. During my quick search I met Bethenny Frankel who doesn't believe in diets but does provide tips on proportion control and a healthy lifestyle, which...is awesome! As a side note...I wouldn't recommend reading her YouTube commentary, pretty harsh stuff.

After watching some of her videos I decided to start making a grocery list of things to buy on my next g-store trip(although I have some of the items already and may exclude a few items from this list) so that I have some new healthier options for the week/s ahead. I hope it helps you out if your looking for new food options as well...

Almond Slivers
Brown Rice
Raisins
Quality Maple Syrup
Regular Soy Milk
Vanilla & Almond Extract
Cinnamon
Fat Free Plain Yogurt
Blueberries
Kashi Good Friends Cereal
Mini Chocolate Chips
Raw/Real Sugar
Eggs
Edamame
Non-Sugar Peanut Butter
Dark Whole Bread
Soy-Cheese
Tomatoes

That's it for now, I'm leaving you with her famous Apprentice breakfast.

You could also checkout Diet.com for more options ;)

Happy New Year 2010

I really wanted to have my new layout up at midnight but I was having some glitches in my new design and my animation software has been giving me some trouble so the header had to get created differently then planned. Anywhooo...I decided to keep it real this year with a more simplistic scheme using pink, sky-blue and gold. I went a bit border crazy in the HTML but overall it came out just the way I was hoping. I designed the background with a bow, diamond and heart I drew up, added some scan lines through them so they wouldn't be too bold and made them multi-colored to mix it up, then I added some tiny stars so that it wouldn't look too block patterned. For the header I decided to do a Japanese style sunrise, adding some lines to it and adding a few colors inside to make it a lil less plain. The header font I used is called Chow-Mein which I overlapped in 3 different colors. I added a bulletin and notepad style to the base of the header to intertwine it with my blog. I drew up a diagonal stripe background to use as my image border and customized my font colors accordingly to match my color scheme.I'm working on a few new posts, I WILL get my photos uploaded this weekend as that was part of my new year resolution *cross fingers*. A few other resolutions I have is to stop being such a b*tch, which has already proven difficult, ahaha. I did manage to finally rid myself of the pesky guys that still try to hook-up with me when I had lost interest in them many moons ago and had avoided them for the most part but they never took a hint. So I cut those strings last month...errr last week is more like it. My other resolution is to drop 60lb this year and my first goal is to try my hardest ever to lose 20lb this first month with diet and exercise. Generally I lose around 8-10lb a month on diet alone but I'm really going to give this my all and btw I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you're at least 40-60lb over your normal BMI. I plan to at least lose 8-10lb a month starting in Feb...fwww I got a lot of hard work ahead of me.

I celebrated my new year with non-other then Mr. Sweety, we partied it up together and had a good time. Some lady next to me at the bar kept eyeing me all night, it was so disturbing that I finally looked her straight in the face and you know what she said..."you have the cutest nose I have ever seen and I would know because I do plastic surgery for a living". It was def a first to hear that from someone other then my mom, who would say I got it from my dad ;P For perhaps the first time ever I referred to Mr. Sweety as my boyfriend and after telling him... he actually smiled ;DTo bring in the new year I got this Hello Kitty calendar from Target that I had been eyeing last month, it happened to be the last one and had been red tagged, my luck! To make my luck even better while at the checkout Mr. Sweety offered to buy it for me ^.^ Yeah, he thought it was a lil childish that I wanted it but oh well it's super kawaii, hah.
