Happy Halloween

I purchased a red and black dress today as part of my devil costume (didn't think it was so bad for last minute)...needless to say my mom says it isn't flattering on me and I look more like a "Saloon Girl", although my friend said it looked nice >.< WTH! Makes me want to stay in for Halloween and grout my friends bathroom instead. So after devouring 4 orders of sushi yesterday afternoon I also got to watch "Saw V" at the theatre with a friend, it was okay although I'm not really into those movies :PI really need to get some rest as I have to wake up early to try and get my car inspected, bleh...shame on me for making time at the last minute. I still need to get my fake tan on my white a** legs and do something with my nails before tonight...I'm stressing majorly now. Guess if I can't sleep maybe I can catch up on the latest Sorority Forever (Final episode airs today!)and Paris Hilton's My New BFF episodes, phff.

Trick or Treat: After a year of having a Twitter account I finally decided to use it today...go figure!

New Layout

As you might have noticed I threw together a new layout. I didn't know what to throw into the header once I got the background, title and my picture together so I got some bird decal images from UO and changed up the color and added the new Fisheye2 camera from UO. I forget what site I got the butterfly images from, but I changed it up a bit and added it into my maple leaf background I created in MSPaint. Using the Corel program I changed up the opacity so the two background images bleed together. For whatever reason my images are saving a bit fuzzy on my laptop, I've tried saving it as .JPG, .PNG, .BMP, .GIF and nonetheless it's all not saving too clearly (bummer).

Here's a photo of my "Blue Ridge Sunset" eye makeup from the previous post. I added some white eyeshadow directly under the brow area to make it pop a bit more, and yes I used the Loreal De-Crease to prime my eyes. I lined my eyes with black eyeliner on the top lid starting from the center of the lid past the outer edge (about a centimeter) for a "cat eye" effect and finished with CoverGirl's LashBlast mascara (my fave) in "Very Black" color.P.S. Those of you that asked makeup questions in my last post, I replied back in my last posts comment area.

Eyeshadow Combinations

I've recently decided to post my eyeshadow color combinations on here and give them local names from the VA/DC/WV/MD area in which I currently thrive. I feel that I'm capable to create a number of eyeshadow styles/combinations using the makeup that's in local drugstores or even the neighborhood Wal-Mart.

I don't believe that you need high priced eyeshadows to give you a great look or a similar look to that of another. It just takes a little know-how, time, patience, practice and the desire to create. If you want a certain look, I feel you just need to use similar colors. You don't need the same exact brands to achieve this although I will share with you where I got these shadows from in my color combinations.

Feel free to share photo's of these combinations, comments, ask for additional help and so forth. I hope to post more combinations in the near future. Below are my first two combinations, the colors are inspired from this area as mentioned above.

Hairloween

How ya like the new colour? Maybe I shouldn't ask...heh. My co-worker told me that I reminded him of Lucy Lawless or you might know her better as Xena Warrior Princess, haha, I use to watch that show all the time.

Speaking of celeb mix ups...as I started looking through my "Sweet" magazine on page 62 (as I have photographed below) there is a photo of Heidi Montag from "The Hills" TV show but...I noticed the magazine has written "Heidi Klum"! Wowwww...how the heck do you mistake Heidi Montag for Heidi Klum?!! Ms. Klum is wayyyy hotter in my opinion, haha.Random Thought: I'm sooo interested in this Givenchy mascara!

A Pink & White Rose Anniversary

Here are the photo's from my step Grandparents 47th Wedding Anniversary in Clarksburg, WV. My BlackBerry finally let me upload them today! I snapped these pics before the party since I was the 1st one there, hehe.I snuck a peek at the cake before anyone else...hehe
I'm so surprised my younger cousin actually knew how to work this thang they had :P I think it use to be a some type of stereo system? ahaha. The river in back of the church, can you see the little bluegills swimming (prolly not)? I use to catch these back in NC in Catawba River. I love fishies ><>All the trees have just begun to change up here, how lovely.
Thought it was funny to see how the hicks up there don't seem to know where to put the period on the gas prices. Could you imagine $31.90 or even $339?! Haha.

SWEET Arrival

My "Sweet" magazine arrived this week! Not only that but the seller sent me some free "Noms" (as icanhazcheezburger.com always says) ;) Wow, this magazine is really thick and it came with a Betsey Johnson makeup bag, totally kawaii as it's covered in white polka dots and pink bows.

Also...now having black locks I realized it'll be so much easier picking out fake hair extensions >.< Needless to say...I did bid on one through EBay, Ouiii...no will power sometimes, heh.

I Cried!!! Yup

I've had such a hair catastrophe today, I don't even know where to begin! Its like this...I planned on dyeing my bleach blonde locks as you might have read in my previous post. What was suppose to be a nice blonde color("natural blonde" by Loreal) turned out to become brown at the roots and gray where the blonde use to be (Ahhh, I could've screamed). So...I went back to the store and purchased a brown color dye ("light brown" by Loreal) which then turned my roots black and the gray color even darker gray color (I was horrified, my poor friend couldn't take me anywhere! God bless their soul for dealin' with me today). Finally when I drug my pathetic gray headed butt home I stopped by CVS and purchased yet another dye box("soft black" by NiceN'Easy)...if it didn't work...I was going to cry and scream some more and end up getting a professional. This time...I left the dye on almost an hour, praying that it just had to work and that all my hair doesn't fall out. FINALLY IT WORKED and even though its black and I never intended to ever go black again...I seriously don't even care, I'm just ecstatic that I have no gray color and its all fully colored!!! God Bless NiceN'Easy, I love you! As for you Loreal...you're on my sh*t list >=O

As for other news, my "I Can Haz Cheezburger" book arrived today! Bad news...it wasn't all that funny as opposed to the actual website (bummer). Also, I believe I have 2 Japanese fashion magazines in this EBay box in my bedroom that arrived...bad news is...I'm too exhausted from dyeing my hair all day long to want to open it and look through it. The only thing that would've made my day better...would've been the arrival of my Ozon flat iron and having it work like a dream...hopefully it'll arrive Monday.

For more not-so-great news, my recent x-bf was supposedly seen talking to some new girl at my local watering hole...hmph...I think I was just the first woman of many girls to come in his life. I'm not jealous...but it just shows all his friends what type of person he is. I don't get mad anyway...but I do like getting even. Wow, my black-haired-self has gone to the dark-side, hahah.

Autumn Hair

I've been about every natural hair colour under the sun, from Blonde to Black. I have currently been a bleach blonde again since March this year and I feel I'm looking a bit washed out :P I do enjoy wearing my clip in hair ponytails to add length to my hair but I think I'm over the fake hair, especially if this new flat iron works like its suppose to. I would love to have that warm chestnut color I've seen in fashion magazines lately but...if you know me I also love to stand out from the herd. So I'm thinking I'll just tone down my super warm bleach blonde color to a more natural one...plus this bleach kit stuff is for the birds, its stripping down my hair and making it a bit too porous for my natural curls to stay in shape and frizz free.

So I went to my favorite hair dye brand website at LorealParisUSA.com to figure out what color I should use on my locks. It ended up picking out Superior Preference Dream Blonde, Color# 10 Alluring Peony as my "Dream Color".

Last time I wanted to deepen my blonde I picked an ash blonde color...needless to say it looked gray to me :P I had freaked out and found my moms bottle of auburn in her bathroom...but me being a natural strawberry-blonde I couldn't stick with a red color for long, hah.

Ozon Hair

I've been trying to post photos on here from my trip this weekend but...crackberry is acting up and not sending me all my photos. Sooo...will have to postpone the images for now. In the mean time, I'm still peeved about my recent flat iron dilemma! So I'm looking into purchasing the following...

Anyway, I'm irritated with Blogger today since it erased half of this blog entry for some unknown reason.

Wild & Wonderful

I made it to my destination in northern WV today, here's a photo of the rest station along the way.Mom said it was really nice inside, filled with artwork, TV's and things. I hung back in our rental van though and ate homemade Frosted Pumpkin Cookies from The Casselman Bakery.

Tomorrow is my Grandparents Anniversary party and then I'll be headed back home, yippee. Although I'll be happy to be back home (possibly doing nothing) I think I could use some "R & R" but I don't mind my trip out here really since I had BF issues last night and possibly need to get away for a bit. Unfortunately or possibly fortunately we broke up last night and I don't think we can be friends anymore either, which is disappointing but I prefer to not associate with people that bring me down in life. Life is way to short for negativity and I prefer to think of the positives.

BTW my Grams out in San Diego is in recovery now after her surgery and is doing well thus far. Haven't been successful in reaching my family out their tonight but will try contacting them again soon. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Burnt Out

So you know how yesterday I was bragging about my flat iron. Well today I went to use it and suddenly I smelled this burning smell coming from the iron as I started it, than the LED light went out and now...it doesn't work right. I asked my Dad if he had dropped it or something since he had been in there fixing my toilet but apparently he didn't and he had just put it away in my bathroom closet. So now I e-mailed the EBay seller to see if I could get a refund/exchange or something since it states a 7 day return policy. Now the seller is saying that their site doesn't state that and that I can't return a used flat iron! Totally sucks, I'm so bummed/pissed, $75 down the toilet. EBay knock-off :(

To top it off my grams out in San Diego AKA my Hometown is having medical issues which she is going in for gallbladder surgery in the morning. My prayers are with her, I love my Grams. I wish I could move out to So-Cal and help her in her time of need.

So yea...I'm a bit under the weather, depressed, bummed out...whatever you wanna call it. Not to mention I've been working graveyard shift today and yesterday and have to head out into the boonies of "West-By-God" Friday morning for a family trip...I'm so not enthused but at least I'm off the next 4 days.

Flat Iron Love

I bought a new flat iron and it's the bestest one I've ever had(check out their commerical below) it heats up wicked fast with its one heat setting! It was worth the $75 purchase through EBay this past week(originally sells for $255). I knew I had to get one when I saw that my "Korean crush" is supposedly using the same one, as well as LC from The Hills :P

I've gotten soo many compliments everyday on my hair since I started using it! I also had no idea I could get curly hair with a flat iron without having to twist my hair around it or the flat iron.

Here's how to get curly hair with a flat iron...
Step 1. With your hot flat iron clamp about an inch of hair in the flat iron close to the root.
Step 2. With your hair clamped down at the root base turn the flat iron 180 degrees.
Step 3. Slowly slide the flat iron down the hair and...instant curls!
*Be sure to use a heat styling product too, so you don't fry your hair(watch the video below for additional help).

TV Catch Up

I'm not big on watching TV or movies...so if I hear about a show going on via radio, MySpace, Internet and it sounds/looks possibly entertaining, I'm all about checking it out via YouTube, etc.

Recently I've caught myself being hooked on...Ugly Betty...so weird but this 3rd season and my first season for ever catching this show has seemed pretty good. Ugly Betty has been given the option of getting married or keeping her rebound man around...she chooses neither and ops for a trip to Italy instead (smart girl). She comes back from her trip, which apparently she has been away for a month and she decides to take on some "Challenges" by taking more responsibilities at work which...her work changed and she now works for a magazine called "Player" of all things. Than she gets her own place without seeing it first and the place turned out to be a total dump. Oh, and Betty's Dad gets a job...working for Lindsay Lohan at a burger joint no less, poor fella.

Shows I wasn't feeling this season...sadly Heroes looked like a let down from the brief new episode I caught but couldn't finish because the acting had just gotten a bit horrid in my opinion.

A new show called The Secret life of the American Teenager aired this year and after watching the first minute of the first episode...I knew I hated it. First off the mom starts by telling her 15yr old daughter that her band teacher is working them too hard and the daughter disagrees in a positive manner. Than the mom says she made her daughters favorite for dinner...POT ROAST, sick, I can't stand pot roast, that is THE one thing I won't eat, YUCK. Than the next minute the girl is taking a birth control test...I mean...wow, this is what the American Teenagers life is coming to? eh.

Also as you may have seen me briefly mention before The Hills this season, it seems soo diff than the other seasons...well, from the few episodes I had caught of them before. LC looks more fashionable and her personality has came out more and its like...finally, their is some-what of a real person to watch now, haha. So this season, I'm totally watching every episode (and I have been watching every episode this season)...I can't help it >.<
