U can has CheezBurger

cat

If you love looking at the kittah photos from icanhascheezburger.com as much as I do than you'll be happy to hear about their book "I Can Has Cheezburger?: A LOLcat Colleckshun" out October 7th this year! I just pre-ordered one from Buy.com which was the cheapest price I found online for a mere $8.82 including shipping (gotta love bargain shopping, haha).

Spore Creature Creator

Do you like the image of my cricket I designed in the new game Spore?! It's the latest game from the Maxis company (Creator of Sims, etc) that released this month. I tried so hard to get the crickets anatomy designed as close to the real thing as possible. This version is a really fun creature designing game (for only $10 too), I actually have the full version on pre-order through EBay and I'm totally looking forward to playing it ^.^

Mods Free Gifts

I got my order from ModCloth today!! Not only did it come with my "hedgehog shower friend" (I was a bit disapointed because I thought this would vibrate to massage your head but its actually hollow inside, bummer) and the "haute hitchhiker bag" in teal but they sent 2 free items along with it. One item which was a pair of "Technicolor Foliage Earrings" in blue that I was eyeing and another item which is a purple headband and of course another $5.00 gift certificate. Secretly the gift certificate has the same discount code# as my other one...so if you'd like to know the code to get a discount on a purchase of $15 or more, just send me a comment along with your e-mail/web url ^.^

Also if you like the "haute hitchhiker bag" you can checkout the maker through loopnyc (which is totally an adorable flash website with the cute bags as seen below!). This bag is a pretty decent size too, even if you're a bit on the plus side ;) hehe.

Also if you've ever wondered about getting that Amy Winehouse look, check out this article I found on the Loop site. The latest items I found on Modcloth that I like are the "Domo Arigato Flight Bag" (nice for my airline job but a bit pricey and no dims on the site) and the "Sweet Nectar Wallet".

Some Mod Shopping

I recently received my first purchase from ModCloth this week, I purchased these wonderful koi earrings. Which in turn they had sent me a $5.00 gift card, thus I'm looking for more items to purchase. I came across some interesting shoes (although I typically can't do flats) nor do I trust purchasing pumps without trying them on first.I also found some other cute and interesting items, although some are sold out, not my size or only available in the colors and such I don't want. I ended up purchasing the "hedgehog shower friend" and the "haute hitchhiker bag" in teal.

Hong Meow

I'm currently searching Urban Outfitters for the latest and greatest items. I came across the new "Lomography Diana F+ Hong Meow Edition" which is a total must-have after reading about it! BTW "Hong Meow" is the phonetic translation of "Panda" in Cantonese (according to the UO site) and y'all know how I roll (like sushi!). Not only that but it'll work with my Fisheye-2 camera, so that's a bonus. Among other things I also liked this Koi Lamp from UO and it's cheaper than some of the other ones I've seen online. Also, I'm thinking of purchasing a new flat iron from Sephora for my hair, found some really great bargains through EBay, good stuff.

My Reality Blog

I got my new issue of Veranda magazine today for October! Can't wait to check it out in my down time at work(if any).

I also started up a "reality blog" as I call it, earlyyyy this morning called Reality Town. The layout needs some work since it's currently in generic mode, haha. Well, I gotta go and get ready for work now, blog ya later!

Hilarious

I was watching VH1 where they have a show called "The Fabulous Life" basically the show talks about how glamorous the lives of celebs can be(it really just makes me sick honestly, haha). So to change things up I told my mom I want to do my version of my...poor and unfab life, ha ha. Anyway here are a few topics that came up...
-She doesn't need a gardener! She can jump on the mower and do it herself(Vroom Vroom).
-She lives at home with her parents where her mother washes her dishes(Lucky girl)!
-She works with million dollar aircraft parts where she gets down and dirty in tire grease.
-She's a regular at a bar full of 40yr old friends, family and people from the local NAAFA.
-Her hair is styled by whatever was up on auction through EBay(So Glamorous Baby)!
-She drives a Limited edition Toyota(Woweee)!

Anyway....guess you had to be their but it was pretty funny.

Indoor Orchid Pests

I recently watered my drooping orchid when I noticed one or two leaves getting some discoloration...but when it didn't get much better a few days later I took a closer look.

Today I noticed some tiny little silver specs dancing around the base of my orchid plant...so I treated them with a homemade cooking oil, liquid dish detergent and warm water solution I found online. Than I noticed a brown skinny worm about an inch long surface from the soil! Ewwww.

Obviously these buggies aren't going to budge (as they're still doing the rumba on my plant) with this homemade pesticide. So this week looks like I'm going to have to hit up the local garden center for some indoor pesticide killer that's okay for orchids. Hmph! I hate icky bugs, so nasty, my poor plant (u.u,)

Back to Shades

I found this lovely lamp website and I've narrowed it down on here to two shades that'll fit my lamp(yes, I measured this time, hehe).

Lamp-shade #1 Not the original shape I was going for but I think it'll add a nice slenderness and shape to the lamp, of course it's $10 more than Lamp-shade #2.

Lamp-shade #2 The shape I wanted to begin with to keep that vintage 50's style shade and cheaper than #1 but...I think it'll make my lamp look too top heavy or something.

What do you think?

Another Shoe Moment

I recently saw Tila Tequila sporting some Christian Louboutin boots?. Almost forgot that Tila does love shoes...although any shoes over a grand, don't count on me making the purchase. Hmmm...the life of a celebrity, haha.

Anywayyyy I saw these boots and thought these are soo Tokyo right now! hehe.

Also I created a similar boot look to these last year that everyone just loved! It prolly costs in total around $50, I had bought black leather ankle boots from Fashion Bug and paired them with furry black leg warmers I purchased through EBay. Although minus the belt. I got many compliments on them too and everyone thought they were made like that. It was hard finding boots when my calves are so thick.

Also my mom is so big on snow boots in winter time and jeeeez I think they are so ugly! So when I saw this pair get crossed with designer Michael Kors...I about died laughing cuz they're still sooooo fugly.

I love the sheer material on these shoes.
A bit trashy perhaps but okay.
Their is something about Giorgio.

Masks

I'm not talking about the kind you wear during Mardi-Gra or Halloween! I'm talking about facial masks...the ones that treat your facial aliments.

To start off I tried this "Asprin Honey Mask" I had heard so much about. I tried it...I'm not sure I did it very well this go around. I added too much water or something and it didn't smell too appetizing :P Although it was a nice exfoliant. I'll continue using this to see if I get more improved facial results.

Ingredients Needed
Uncoated Aspirin Tablets (To exfoliate and reduce redness)
Honey (Has a natural anti-bacterial affect)
Aloe Vera (To help sooth the skin)
Bottle Water (Clean with no impurities as tap water can be harsh to the skin)

How-To
Step 1: Add 2 drops of bottled water on top of each asprin tablet. Wait 5 minutes for asprin to dissolve and smoosh asprin down with your finger.
Step 2: Add about a table spoon of honey and aloe vera to asprin mix. Mix ingredients together.
Step 3: Use a warm wash cloth to clean your face and to open your pores.
Step 4: Next dab the asprin mixture all over your face avoiding your nostrils and eyes. Let sit on your face 10-20 minutes until it dries a bit.
Step 5: Wet your hands with warm water and gently rub in a circular motion on your face to exfoliate the skin. Rinse face with cool water as it helps to close the pores.
Step 6: Apply a moisturizer if needed as the mix may dry out your skin.

If you still need additional help their are a few YouTube.com videos you can watch for further assistance. Interested in more facial masks? Check out this link I found!

Shade Search

I've been trying to find a lamp shade for my recent EBay purchase(an estate dumpster rescue from Canada I was told). I was looking through Target for just the shades but it looks like I may end up purchasing the whole lamp just to get the shade I want :( not fair. Although some of their lamp shades cost the same as the entire lamp itself. Well...maybe I'll have luck at Wal-Mart.

Might help if I actually measured what size of shade I needed as well (-.-#)

P.S.
If you like this lamp they sell a similar one at UO, although its half the size of mine...and hot pink. Oh and it comes with a lamp shade(so...no worries for you).

P.S.S.
WTHeck! If my x-bf had a home phone...that'd be his x-mas gift, haha.
